I think we need something like the following patch.

* config/rs6000/sysv4.h (ENDFILE_SPEC): Add crtsaverest.o.
* config/rs6000/eabi.asm: Remove ABI save restore routines.
* config/rs6000/t-ppccomm: Build crtsavrest.o.
* config/rs6000/crtsavrest.asm: New file.
