Its not that have anything in particular against american spellings,
some of which are clearly superior (but "behavior"? Ugh! ;-), just
that I like to think of GCC as something of an international effort.
That doesn't mean that each error message should be in a different language.
GCC needs to be consistent and most of it is American spellings, so all of
it should be. Doesn't the internationalization code support having a
file for British spellings of error messages as a "translation"?
