MIPS does that, it has (guess) 7-8 debug options that are disabled
that way. Developers pick a temporary number for them as needed.

dgux, djgpp, and cygwin can share bits - they're all OSs so will never
be included simultaneously. Cygwin and win32 overlap intentionally;
they're basically variants of the same platform.
