This looks like a typo; I guess this should be in tmake_file ...
Apart from that, switching to a shared libgcc is fine with me.
B.t.w. what's the status of interoperability between glibc and shared
libgcc?
I haven't followed the discussion completely, but there seemed to be still
unresolved problems ...
