If we expand the maintainer mode, can we get something put in the GNU
Coding Standards explaining what we can do with such a thing? (We already
have one, used by gcc/po/, but I don't see anything in the GNU Coding
Standards about them, and if it has any unexpected affects on users who
modify source files and expect generated files to get rebuilt, this new
configure option required of anyone changing those parts of GCC would need
to be well-documented.)
If doing any form of fixing the builds, can we fix it so toplevel "make"
does the same as "make bootstrap"?
