I have two plans for combatting this problem:
1. Do some 3.0.x releases in short order.
2. Do a 3.1 release soon.
GCC 3.0 is a .0 release. That means that we have major, major changes
from the GCC 2.x series.
As soon as we finish 3.0, I'm ready to start on 3.1. (Well, I might
take a few weeks to calm down.) But, essentially we're there.
There's no new functionality that we need; we just need to stabilize
those 17MB of diffs you mention.
