Oh, I forgot to say that I tested these on powerpc-linux and
powerpc-aix with a bootstrap and make check. I tried to test with
-maix64, but the compiler currently locks up my machine when I do this
by going into an infinite loop with a steadily increasing working set.
I'll test them on an older branch.
