Examples please. We spent a goodly amount of time rooting out
performance issues when we removed the stupid allocator.
The issue is being looked at closely now and I should have some
more details within a couple of weeks. One confusing issue is that
reload also got a lot slower, so it's hard at the moment to isolate
the two things.
