I think you should send in the patches too. It's good to have
everything in the archives.
Besides, some of these changes are non-trivial; people reading over
your code might spot bugs. Or find it easier to track down any
resulting problems later.
Standard policy is all patches to the list. I don't see any reason to
diverge from that policy.
