However, based on the latent bug that came up, I suspect it's still doing
a worse job than we did before.
As I understood, that latent bug came up *before* the latest fix, right?
I must say that I think the PA failures even when it was badly broken
are still bugs. It should work if pseudos were *randomly* assigned to
register classes since reload should be able to fix it all up.
Getting Richard a testcase would help...
It sure would!
