Patch to GCC web page /lists.html
- To: gcc-patches at egcs dot cygnus dot com
- Subject: Patch to GCC web page /lists.html
- From: Jason Molenda <jsm at cygnus dot com>
- Date: Tue, 28 Sep 1999 15:38:41 -0700
Committed. I removed Jeff's e-mail address as a contact point.
If they're really desperate they could try postmaster (which will go
to me).
Jeff, if this disheartens you, I can add your address back in.
With my recent change to stop RBL checks for mailing list commands
(subscribing/unsubscribing), I don't think there is any valid reason
why someone needs to contact a human to get on or off any of the GCC
mailing lists.

1999-09-28 Jason Molenda (jsm@bugshack.cygnus.com)
* lists.html: Shorten local URLs to not include the sitename.
Add the ML subscribe/unsubscribe HTML form.
Tell people to use List-Unsubscribe to get off lists; drop Jeff's
e-mail address as a means of last resort.
Add section on spam blocking; update list of RBLs and note addr
obscurification in web archives.

+<p>To complicate the harvesting of e-mail addresses from the web archives
