This might not be enough. As far as I can determine from the
traffic on the egcs lists mentioning m68k-based systems, only
NEXTSTEP 3.x systems seem to have the problem (interesting, because
Melissa's and my header files _must_ be different, as we are running
different x's).
This is going to be a real problem, because last Sunday I managed
to install Linux on my Compaq Armada - today I even got Window Maker
running, which means that for the look-and-feel of NEXTSTEP, I'm no
longer restricted to NEXTSTEP 3.x. Besides, the Compaq laptop is
about 15 times as fast as the machine I'm typing this on.
Amazing - it took almost as long to copy the 9-msdos-floppy-sized
egcs-1.1.1-prerelease-2.tar.gz to that machine as doing a complete
build :-)
For the time being I'm still using the NeXTStation because it's the
only computing gear connected to a modem and a printer, but this is
not going to last long, I'm afraid.
