I haven't looked at it yet -- busy with other "more important" things.
At this point I think this one should be tabled until after egcs-1.1
branches. Even then I'm unlikely to look at it before the release
as my concentration will be on the release itself.
The good news is Michael does have an assignment on-file so that won't
hold us up when we come back to this patch :-)
