    I tried that... part of the problem is in the dump routine --
it dumps to '/dev/tty' unless you know the magic words:

export LIBC_FATAL_STDERR_=on_2

Talk about cryptic?


    Looks like a Linux only issue and doean't affect Solaris or BSD.
