Just a quick question do any of you guys know any good reading for
binutils besides the documenation given with it like maby a book on
binary formats like elf and a.out; and creating them from assembly or
RTL, maby a book on assemblers and linkers is what i am looking for.
It would help a lot if one could know to which things these are
related... It could be expected that people have learned that
the ELF format came with "Unix System V Rel 4" and Unix and Unix-
like systems like Linux, FreeBSD and NetBSD have adopted this
same format, so a simple search with "System V ABI" could lead
to many documents... Like :
http://calderasystems.com/developers/devspecs/abi386-4.pdf
(the search gave a 'https://' URL)
For the early BSD 'aout' and SVR3.2 'COFF' format (the basement in
Windoze's 'PE' format) probably similar searches could give results.
