Subject: GCC Installation

Dear GCC-help,
 
I have downloaded the GCC 4.1.1, when I configure it, it says there is no acceptable C compiler? I think the C compiler is in the downloaded GCC 4.1.1. If I am not right, from where I can get the practical C compiler?
