Re: OSX gcc binary (no Xcode)?

Hi Guillaume,

I went through these steps:
+ downloaded gnupg-1.4.1
+ ./configure
+ make

GNU PG built without issue, using GCC 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 1666). On OS X 10.3.9, on a dual G4/1.4, 2 GB RAM.

>Here is the typical error msg I get when trying to run ./configure files:
...
checking for gcc... gcc
checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error: C
compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details.

I did not get that during the configure of GNU PG.

I got:
checking for C compiler default output file name... a.out

There appears to be some other discrepancy in your environment. (I presume that my environment is not the one with the discrepancy, because I am able to build GNU PG, which is what I presume is the expected case.)

Check your config.log for more details.

Food for thought,
--Eljay
