cannot compile a test program in gcc

- Subject: cannot compile a test program in gcc
Hello,
I have installed gcc-3.3.2 on our UNIX TRU64 box. When I tried
to test run a simple program with the command :
gcc test.cpp -o test
I got the following error.
gcc: installation problem, cannot exec `cc1plus': No such file or
directory
Can anybody please tell me the cause of this problem and how to fix it.
