That's a holy grail long sought by many. Here's two cents worth:
The very brief article "Embedded Linux and the Law" appeared in the
Embedded Systems Programming magazine last August. You may find it on
their website, with luck. (www.embedded.com) I used it to inform my
interpretation of the LGPL, and found it useful.
Do the READMEs and source files in the library distribution not
provide licencing statements?
