he easiest thing would be to install the pre-compiled binaries for SuSe,
mtaching the version of the already installed GCC.
Else, you have to get the source tarball, and do a full configure/make
bootsrap, intalling the (new) gcc/g++/g77.
Don't think you can ONLY install g77 from sources.
