Not really. It's been an ongoing maintenance thing -- the ABI used by those
tools and the affect that ABI had on the tools was a nightmare to maintain.
Given the lack of interest and the maintenance issues, we have been slowly,
but surely zapping that code.
FWIW, you're the first person to even enquire about this code in several
years.
