Hi, I have a rather bizarre one for the list. When I compile a hello world
c program with gcc the compiler hangs. Using ps, I can see that gcc is
spawning hundreds to thousands of copies of cpp. So many that the machine
effectively crashes. I've tried this on two sun boxes running solaris 2.6
and 2.7. I got the precompiled bins gcc-2.95.2-sol7-sparc-local.gz and
gcc-2.95.2-sol26-sparc-local.gz from sunfreewhere.com and installed them
using pkgadd -R /export/home -d <name of package>. Now I can't even
uninstall them using pkgrm. All replies appreciated...
