So I went with the stuff off of the gcc homepage instead and everything
seemed to go fine but when i do 'gcc -v' i get:
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/egcs-2.91.66/specs
gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release)
If i look in /gcc (where i installed 2.95.2) i have:
Makefile config.status gcc libiberty texinfo
config.cache etc i686-pc-linux-gnu mt-frag
So i think that everything is around but for some reason my system is
using the older version
Is there something i can do as far as moving files or having the system
look for the new gcc?
Thanks
