I'm having problems installing gcc 2.95 on a Solaris 2.7 system.
I'm running the configure script:
configure --prefix=/export/progs
and getting the following message:
Configuring for a sparc-sun-solaris2.7 host.
Created "Makefile" in /export/progs/objects using "mh-frag"
ld: fatal: file crt1.o: open failed: No such file or directory
*** The command '/export/share/GNU/bin/gcc -o conftest -O2 conftest.c' failed.
*** You must set the environment variable CC to a working compiler.
My compiler is gcc 2.7.2 and seems to work otherwise.
I'm very new to this, so any help would be much appreciated.
