	* README, configure.in, gcc.1, gcc.texi: Update name (egcs -> gcc)
	and version #s (1.1 -> 2.96) as needed.
	* README.g77: Kill way out of date file in the toplevel directory.
	Part of the ongoing conversion to the one true gcc.
