Quite surely fallout of Alans changes...
[remember to do some hello-world testing with both GNU ld and gold...]
Yeah, it did take quite some time to arrive at sth both GNU ld and gold
liked...
Not sure if it is easily possible to add both variants to the LTO testsuite,
we'd need some dg-require-effective-target ld-gold and ld-gnu for that,
mapping to -fuse-ld=gnu/gold. And those tend not to work very well inside
the build tree.
