Is there any progress on this? Actually such a functionality as provided by
-ffile-prefix-map would also be highly desirable in the context of the
Reproducible Builds effort [1]. Build-specific source paths included via
__FILE__ in gcc-built artefacts are quite common and -- at least from my
experience -- a problematic source of binary variation.
