No. Your input file contains curly quotes. I've
changed the curly quotes to # show you where the
problem lies.
met_file = #met_04270_62_65.txt#
Compare the quoting for vegh_file and met_file. You need
to use ASCII character 39. Looks like your input file is
using extended ASCII characters 145 and 146. gfortran is
expected ASCII not extended ASCII.
