Oh well, testing the current vanilla 4_7-branch is always a good idea, if you
ask me. That said, it seems very unlikely that back in the 4.7.2 times
something such basic as your reduced Comment #14 could not work (it's the C++
"Hello World!", literally!). Well, we could also bootstrap vanilla 4.7.2 and
see what happens.
