171816 + patch - not working
removed i686-apple-darwin9/* ... bootstrap fails...
deleted _clz* -- then bootstrapped with CFLAGS_FOR_TARGET="-O2 -g -save-temps
-fverbose-asm -dA"
.. there is a difference, although I can't say whether the fault lies with ld64
or gcc ...
