Did that. This particular translation unit compiles. With warning
telling the same.
For this particular system there is a workaround, but does it have to
be on any system? If it has neither `NAN' nor equivalent value, what
standard does it violate, so that one can file a complaint? If there
is no such standard, it is still safer to be able to inhibit using
`NAN'.
