This works for me (3.4.0, 3.4.1, 3.4.3), too.
I even downloaded Mandrake's versions (3.4.1 and 3.4.3).
No problem.
Can you reproduce the bug with the preprocessed file?
Are you sure that this is not a hardware problem?
