Bad RAM, bad CPU, or poorly connected disk (IDE, SCSI, whatever)
    cables.

Bad RAM is by far the most likely. Overclocking and overheating can
    also cause problems for gcc, even when other programs 'work just
    fine'.

But before you start unplugging RAM DIMMs, get gcc 3.3.3, and try
    that; maybe this is a bug 3.2.3 .
