Summary: ICE on "class" in front of typedef'd types within
namespaces
Product: gcc
Version: 3.3.2
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: c++
AssignedTo: unassigned at gcc dot gnu dot org
ReportedBy: thor at math dot tu-berlin dot de
CC: gcc-bugs at gcc dot gnu dot org
GCC build triplet: i486-pc-linux-gnu
GCC host triplet: i486-pc-linux-gnu
GCC target triplet: i486-pc-linux-gnu
Save the following program as test.cpp:
/* snip */
class A {
public:
typedef int TestType;
};
int main(int argc,char **argv)
{
class A::TestType c; /* line 8 */
return 0;
}
/* snip */
Then compile with
$ g++-3.3 test.cpp
Result is a segfault of g++ and thus an ICE in line 8. This line is clearly
invalid, though the compiler should not crash.
