The mangled name output is
1. A gcc extension (DW_AT_mips_linkage_name) that is going away as soon as gdb finishes
learning how to generate scoped names without it (which is RSN). It's a waste of space in the
debug info, and a significant one at that.
2. Not something that anyone should depend upon, or we should encourage dependence on.
So closing as invalid.
