Joseph,
I can confirm that the patch allows me to build a cross-compiler to a RH 5.2 (glibc 2.0.7) system
for the C language only, and the resulting compiler produces functioning C executables (at least
for simple testcases). Note that libstdc++ and threading won't compile, so this doesn't fix the
whole report. Would you mind forwarding the patch to the list? Thanks,
