Hallo Dara,
I tried it with the compiler versions 3.2.2 and 3.2.3 of gcc and always
get the same
comparison/bootstrap error.
I also tried to get the same with gcc version 3.3.
Now it seems to be solved. Bootstrap now is OK.
I also tried to compile the old 3.2.3 file f/sta.c with the stage1 and
stage2 compilers from gcc 3.3:
Also no error occurs but a few warnings. I give them here only for
informational purposes:
../../gcc-3.2.3/gcc/f/sta.c: In function `ffesta_save_':
../../gcc-3.2.3/gcc/f/sta.c:340: warning: dereferencing type-punned
pointer will break strict-aliasing rules
../../gcc-3.2.3/gcc/f/sta.c:384: warning: dereferencing type-punned
pointer will break strict-aliasing rules
So I think you should close this, because gcc 3.3 now works correctly.
