Irix 6.5 build problem

I sent this one in a few weeks ago. This happens
when compling the current cvs trunk with gcc3.0 on
Irix 6.52:

3.0 compiles itself nicely, though, so this is a relatively
new problem (a MIPS ProC - oriented tweak?)
Maybe it can be backed out before the 3.0.1 cut?
