The answer turns out to be that yes, it can build both these. GNU libc passes
"make check" and seems to be OK; the kernel locks up during boot after
printing "POSIX conformance testing by UNIFIX". But the Linux/ARM kernel has
a long and inglorious history of breaking on every compiler upgrade, so this
doesn't surprise me too much. I'll investigate further.
