The first " inside ``s matches the first " outside, on some shells.
You must precede such nested quotes with \.
Note that you should probably enclose the sed command in quotes too.
I don't want to think what could happen if someone happens to have a
directory called `s', with some file matching the glob expression that
follows :-)
