Is there any document which lists sequentially the version numbers of
gcc and egcs.
for example, on my Red Hat Linux system, I have egcs 1.1.2
In the "latest" Red Hat development area (a.k.a. "rawhide"), they
have gcc 2.95.2, 2.95.3, and 2.96-21
I understand the 2.95/2.96 numbering system. I know that back in
Red Hat 5.2, the gcc version was at 2.7.2.3, and I _think_ that that
was equivalent to egcs-2.90.29 (but I'm not positive about that).
I am curious as to where egcs 1.1.2 fits in in the sequence of gcc
numbering.
thank you, and regards,
-Greg
