Re: "discards qualifiers" is less helpful than "discards const"

So is a message that simply says "error" and nothing else. I didn't say the
message was incorrect, only that it is less helpful.

I'm requesting that the maintainers of an extremely large and complex piece
of software with which I am totally unfamiliar make a simple change that
will restore it to the state that it was in relatively recently, a state
that any reasonable person would agree is more helpful to users. As the
principal maintainer of a large and complex piece of free software myself
(Ghostscript), I would consider it unreasonable to expect a random user to
make such a change, and I would not ask a user to do so unless I knew from
extended contact that they were familiar with the code. Please reconsider
your position.
