Hi.
Platform: Digital AlphaServer 1000 running Digital Unix 4.0E.
C compiler: gcc 2.95.
When trying to build libstdc++-2.90.6, I am getting error messages of
the form
Unable to access imaginary part of complex value in a
hard register on this target
early on in the build.
Gabriel Dos Reis <gdr@egcs.cygnus.com> told me:
> I don't think you get a useable linbstc++ (complex will be

so I am doing same.
BTW, I noticed that http://sourceware.cygnus.com/libstdc++ says:
alpha-linux ... fail[s] while building parts of libstdc++-v3 dealing
with complex. Builds usually die with this error, which may be fixed
in the next gcc release
So, I guess the main point of this letter is to tell you that the same
failure happens with alpha-dec-osf4.0e, as well as with alpha-linux.
