Indeed, we should probably do a comprehensive "study" on the whole
shebang, from online WWW docs to docs that come with the release to
how messages from the compiler link up to those to internationaliation.
Then, once we have all the related requirements together, we can craft
a One True Compiler Death Message (OTCDM ;-), and change the current
message to that, once and for all.
One of the benefits of this approach is it allows us to duck the issue
of making any changes in the meantime. ;/
