In addition to what was posted previously, the final list of problems
is:
1. configure in i386-wrs-vxworks/libiberty erroneously detects host
sys/file.h and sys/param.h which are absent among the target headers.
2. No [visible] way to pass -DCPU=I80x86 to xgcc when building lib* for
target.
3. In trying to configure libf2c it reports "compiler cannot run
executables" because ld cannot find 'crt0.o'.
This all applies to egcs-1.1.2. I didn't try current snapshots because I
need a compiler for practical work.
