Well, I can't really advise you. If your thesis depends on it, perhaps
development snapshots of the compiler are not appropriate, and you
should consider rewriting your code so that 1.1.2 accepts it.

If you do want to experiment, and if you do have the time to
investigate problems, I recommend accessing the anonymous CVS tree,
which has fixes for all the bugs we've discussed.
