Egcs folks: Attached is a message that I sent off to XSuse regarding
a problem encountered with their XFCom_3DLabs server. I received
a reply from them indicating that they thought it was a bug in
the egcs compiler.
Regatds,
Doug

Gentlemen:
There appears to be an incompatibility with kernels 2.0.34 and 2.0.35
and
your XFCom_3DLabs server when the kernels are built with egcs1.1b. The
kernel builds
and boots, but a seg fault occurs when you try to start the X server.
When the kernels are built with egcs1.03a, everything works as expected.
My system is a Pentium II running Slackware3.5.
Regards,
