The optimizations in egcs got much more agressive in the meanwhile. Note
that compiling 2.0.x kernels with anything else than gcc-2.7.2.x is _not_
supported, nobody will help you if it breaks: It's just too much work, work
that doesn't make any sense now that linux-2.2 is at most a decade away ;-)
