Shouldn't this also rename the variable names __lambda and __mu similar to the
__alpha problem that recently occurred for consistency? (I think the
parameter names were renamed
from __x to __x_var)

I will go ahead and do this. I thought it was just alpha (not even beta) but just to preempt any issues I'll go ahead.

Where is the badname list BTW?
