Normally, we (libstdc++ people) just use 'autoreconf', and it works just fine. Does it work for you?

OK, autoreconf works, even if it is insanely slow on mingw32. :)

It did however add:

+LIBOBJDIR =

to all Makefile.in's within libstdc++-v3/. I assume this is not a big deal.
